Hey! I'm Matt Leasegang!
aka; MattL / Matt L.
There isn't too much to know about me that you can't figure from my blog or my images. The rudimentary response is simple, I love everything about my job.
My passion is photography and I love every single thing I photograph. I enjoy playing with my car, riding my fixie, editing photos, and doing all the normal things. One weird hobby I have is going places I'm not meant to and photographing the depths of our cities, documenting the interesting facets that our urban environment has to offer. My urban work has been the main definition for what separates me from other photographers.
I'm continually fascinated by people and love to photograph quirky people about the city as they scamper, something I rarely publish.
Now to the more formal tidbits about me.
I'm an Accredited member and Associate Designate of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography).
I judged in the 2010 AIPP Professional Photography Awards at both the Queensland and Australian Awards. I'm working towards earning the title of Master Photographer under the AIPP and hope to achieve this honour soon.
My experience isn't limited to any one specific field and I shoot a variety of different styles of photography. I'm known for my diversity and ability to capture and create great images in almost any genre.
I believe quality comes over quantity and from that I derive to produce only the best possible work I can.
